Tour of Solvang
The Trolley boards passengers regularly outside of the Visitor’s Center on Copenhagen St. and Second St. and takes them on a 25-minute tour throughout the Downtown Area of Solvang. Passengers rediscover the architecture and attractions of the town on a replica of an 1800’s Danish streetcar. Tour guides tell the history of Solvang, explain the origin and significance of many sights and buildings, and share with visitors folk tales and cultural notes from Denmark. They provide, as well, an insight on activities in town and give general information about the area.
Trolleys pickup at the corner of Copenhagen and 2nd St, across from the Visitor Center.
Motorized Trolley Tour
Enjoy a 25-minute tour of Historical Downtown Solvang on a large motorized trolley. Learn about our unique architecture, activities, special events, and history. All of our tours are narrated.

Horse-drawn Trolley
Enjoy our tour of downtown Solvang in the original horse-drawn trolley! A Solvang Tradition since 1973! This is one of the very few remaining streetcars pulled by horses that are still operating in an open street in the world.
Schedule of operation:
The horse-drawn Trolley currently operates Saturdays, Sundays, and certain holidays from 12:00pm to 5:00pm.
Please note that start times for the tours can vary depending on weather conditions and the needs of our horses. For this reason, we are no longer taking reservations in advance.
Please note that The horses do not operate when the temperature is projected to be over the 90’s for most of the day, and we stop all horse operations when the temperature reaches 95 degrees.

Santa Ynez Valley Tour
Explore the Santa Ynez Valley on this hop-on, hop-off tour! The loop starts in Downtown Solvang, with pickups every 2 hours. The bus goes by:
- Wilding Museum (Solvang)
- Elverhoj Museum (Solvang)
- Chumash Cultural Center (Santa Ynez)
- Carriage House Museum (Santa Ynez)
- Downtown Los Olivos
Departures from downtown Solvang are at 10am, 12pm, and 2pm. The ticket is good for the whole day.
The cost is $45.00 for adults, and $30.00 for children 3-11 (children 2 and under do not need a ticket)
